The Birth of the Urban Food Challenge

What a rush! This is what happens when you talk about an idea with the right people at the right time. A fantastic launch that I am personally so darn proud of. I could not have asked for a better team to build this with nor more perfect weather one fine Autumn day.

The video speaks for itself and with it I want to give a massive shout out and heartfelt thank you to Olivier from Foodieamateur & Alberto from Bear on Bike for being at the core, organising to bring this baby to life with me. KnowmadLab for grasping the concept from the get-go and tapping in on their communication expertise and visual content skills with so much love. La Colmena Que Dice Sí, Espigoladors & Finca Parera for jumping on board after a crazy long email or phone call from me trying to explain what we wanted to do and ended up doing better than I could have ever imagined.

Not to forget the handful of volunteers that helped us run things as smoothly as possible during the event. All the participants for being pioneers in attending such a new hybrid of an event to come and play with us. And finally, the lovely Marianne Noble for helping make sense of the whole experience to keep it going and flowing. None of this would have been at all possible if we didn’t gel well together and really believe in and trust each other. So from the bottom of my heart – thank you!

I look forward to where this journey will take us all with this fun, new way to play and learn about important food matters. We have learnt lots already and are taking all your feedback in to account for the next editions. It can only get better from here.

Onwards & upwards!
